Ubuntu Server 14.04. How to expand RAID1 capacity by adding two more hard drives?

There is a software RAID on two 146GB disks, the space on which ends. Added 2 more 146GB hard drives to the system. Is it possible to expand a RAID by doubling its size so that it uses 2x2 disks?
Or change the RAID scheme, or get rid of it altogether, but increase disk space and save data?

@Spetros

You can assemble a second RAID1 on new disks and use its space, or you can not assemble it and just use the space of two additional disks. You can also rebuild the RAID to a different configuration and create one large array from all disks.
You need a competent system administrator who will be aware of your affairs and do the right thing.
