Ubuntu+LVM2+Grub2 - won't run on another computer
I installed ubuntu according to this manual on an external usb hard drive. It has an lvm section, it has both ubuntu and rude. The system worked fine. I connected the hard drive to another computer - it starts rough normally, but after choosing the operating system, a black screen, then a blinking cursor, this is where the development of events ends.
Booted from internal hard, did update-grub. Grub2, installed on the internal hard, saw the system on the external one, added it to the list, but when I tried to boot, the same picture.
It turns out that Grub is working fine, but the kernel does not show signs of loading. "quiet splash" changed to "nosplash". No errors are visible. A piece of the config:
How to revive the system?
menuentry 'Ubuntu, with Linux 2.6.35-26-generic' --class ubuntu --class gnu-linux --class gnu --class os {
recordfail
insmod lvm
insmod part_msdos
insmod ext2
set root='(local-root)'
search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set 675a12ce-9946-42c8-84ac-0b72f2ff88f4
linux /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.35-26-generic root=/dev/mapper/local-root ro nosplash
initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.35-26-generic
}
