Ubuntu 14, samba 4. What is the error: Starting SMB/CIFS File and Active Directory Server [fail] on startup and shutdown?
Installed Ubuntu 14, added samba as a file server (I'm just learning everything). Error message started to appear:
Starting SMB/CIFS File and Active Directory Server [fail] on startup and shutdown.
The logs say:
At this time the samba binary should be used for either: 'server role = active directory domain controller' or to access the ntvfs file server with 'server services = +smb' or the rpc proxy with 'dcerpc endpoint servers = remote '. You should start smbd/nmbd/winbindd instead for domain member and standalone file server tasks.
As I understand it, samba should have only one role from the following addc or FS or something else, right? I need both ADCD roles and a file server.

Error in padding.
There is no Ubuntu 14, there is Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and Ubuntu 14.10. So start by changing the gasket.
