Ubuntu 11.04 + Android = GPRS ?

Good people, help me find an easy way to make friends between my SE Xperia X8 and a netbook on Ubuntu 11.04 so that I can go online.

It doesn't matter if it's via bluetooth or USB, as long as it's convenient and without much fuss.

Previously, when there was SE P1 and Ubuntu 10.10, it was possible to somehow configure it through the network manager, when connected via bluetooh, a button appeared, saying to use DUN (if the phone was connected via bluez-utils), and now - fig.

Either the new android phone is to blame, or the new ubuntu.

UPD.
The issue was resolved only by installing custom firmware CyanogenMod 7 by Jerpelea based on Android 2.3.3, it took half a day, but now there is root and a lot more.

Now works Wifi tethering via Barnacle Wifi and USB tethering via Easy Tethering.

Thanks to all! True, I am a little shocked by such a decision, I did not expect that Android 2.1 out of the box would not allow me to use the phone as a modem.

Android 2.2 added Wi-Fi Tethering (the smartphone will become a Wi-Fi hotspot for the netbook). Look at yourself somewhere in Settings-> Wireless networks-> Modem mode.

Here even 3.0 dangles under your piece of iron.
And so - root and pick the market for "tehtering".

In LG Optimus One (2.2) it is worth connecting via USB with a computer, which can make the phone a USB modem
