Twitter streaming api, filter method, how to add another UserID to follow without reload?

Now I do this - I form a UserID array for follow, I make a filter request. I can stream tweets. If I need to add another user to follow, I reconnect. At this point, I can lose the tweets of some users. Please advise how to avoid this.
