twitter account hacked
Yesterday an incomprehensible story happened: I received a letter in the mail that my mailbox on the Twitter account was changed, and I didn’t do it. I
contacted support, saying “Hello. I can't use my Twitter because somebody changed my e-mail and password."
To which they answered that this mailbox does not match the twitter account and there will be no further conversation.
Who faced this?

Last tweet on May 18 from support: Some users may see an unexpected "New email address required" warning on the web. We're aware of the issue and will have it resolved ASAP.
Maybe it's somehow involved?
I have the same nonsense, about a month ago I received a letter that my mailbox has changed on my account. I wrote to support first in Russian, then in English - tickets are immediately closed, and I understand that the issue is not going to be resolved. I don’t even really need a twitter, it’s just that curiosity is tearing apart how the mail could change (really Twitter didn’t send confirmation by letter), I have a mailbox on gmail and SMS authorization is enabled. And it is also interesting why the Twitter support service is not going to do anything in this situation.
Actually, I don’t see a solution to this situation - therefore I will subscribe to your question and wait for intelligible answers.
Twitter is, I rarely use it. Quite often they "break" the account, but the box and data do not change - they just shit in the tape.
Passwords are always long and complex. Mailboxes are not touched. In general, strange things happen.
The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. In the password recovery form there is an item that will allow you to fill out a form to restore access. There is a name, mail, passwords that you remember (the last ones), etc. I sent and after 2-5 days of waiting, the support sent me a link to change the password, and, accordingly, restore access (and change mail).
