Trying to setup django+uWSGI+nginx server, can't see my files?

I'm trying to set up an Ubuntu 16.04 django+uWSGI+nginx server according to the instructions michal.karzynski.pl/blog/2013/06/09/django-nginx-g...
the virtual environment project is in /webapps/
when I enter my IP in the browser it loads default index.html file from /var/www/html/
How can I redirect it to my files?
