Translation of Git terms into Russian?

I am translating Git Extensions into Russian and there was a difficulty with the translation of some Git terms. Can you advise?

Push Commit Merge
Rebase Checkout Repository Diff ... :) No need to translate, because then you won't understand anything at all. Leave it as it is, in English.

Works locally:

• init - initialize git
• config - configure git
• add - add a file/directory to the index
• rm - remove a file/directory (from the index and physically)
• mv - rename file/directory (in index and physically)
• commit - commit an index
• branch - create a branch
• merge - merge branches
• rebase - remerge branches
• checkout - stand on a branch
• status - current state
• diff - show what has changed
• remote - set up communication with remote

Works remotely:

• clone - clone (init+remote+pull)
• fetch - pick up (no merge)
• pull - pick up and merge
• push - send

That's terrible. I never understood why translating software for programmers. English will still need to be learned. And to learn it to such an extent that you understand the software is not difficult and does not take long.

You need to translate in order to understand the metaphors of the developers.
The English ear hears the understandable words "pick up", "send", "merge", and not the crooked freaks "fetch", "bully", "push". The English mind does not need to explain what these commands do - he understood their meaning from the name, from the familiar word. For this, developers come up with metaphors - so that they do not have to explain, read the documentation.
Metaphors need to be translated. We all use good translations of English terms. Nobody says "Close that Windows", everyone says "Close the window". And on the keyboard there are buttons, not buttons.

I would look towards books on the Git in Russian, published by good publishing houses.
But apparently, there is no established terminology .

In the Russian version of ProGIt, everything is pretty well translated. But I think that it is not worth translating commands.
