Transferring a site to work on HTTPS - what are the pitfalls associated with SEO?

There is an "old" site (14.9 years old) with the following indicators:
Indexing in Yandex (pages): 2397
TIC: 475
Trust xt = 6

We are going to transfer it to work via the HTTPS protocol.

Самый большой риск при переводе с http на https -- это временное выпадение сайта из индекса (старый уже выпал, а новый ещё не ранжируется так же высоко), и, как следствие, потеря им трафика на этот период.
Во-первых, если есть возможность, то для старого сайта лучше либо отказаться от перехода, либо минимизировать его: например, перевести на https только чувствительные к этому разделы (например, разделы корзины и оплаты для интернет-магазинов). На текущий момент просто факт работы через https не даёт серьёзного преимущества в поиске.
Если переходить на https всё-равно надо, то вот алгоритм как минимизировать потери при таком переезде:
1. Поднимаем сайт на https. В этот момент сайт должен корректно функционировать как по http, так и по https.
2. Add both sites (http and https) to "Yandex.Webmaster" beta.webmaster.yandex.ru.
3. In robots.txt for both we prescribe Host: https://site.ru/ (substitute your domain, do not forget to take into account what the main mirror looks like - with or without www).
4. For an http site in Yandex.Webmaster, place a request to transfer the site to https.
5. Wait. When Yandex and Google completely remove the site from the https index, only then we put an absolute 301 redirect from http to https.

the pitfall here is, as it were, 1 ... for search engines, a site with http and https are two different sites with all the consequences. But properly configured redirects will solve problems
