Transfer from one VDS to another, is it real?
Good day, gentlemen. I turn to you with a question that was voiced in the header of this topic. First of all, I would like to clarify the situation. There is a VDS server, but the authorities wanted to transfer everything to reg.ru MariaDB, ReverseProxy (Apache + Nginx), PHP7 + modules that Bitrix uses are configured on the main VDS. First of all, I am interested in the question of how exactly to back up all the data and configurations to myself, so that during the transfer it would be possible to deploy a ready-made system image with all the configs and data. Yes, I understand, it sounds fierce, but I didn’t come to a logical conclusion, and deploying from scratch is somehow too lazy, well, you understand. I found a tool like MondoRescue, however, I decided to consult with you before using it. The second question is whether it is realistic to get the VDS provider to receive a full backup of the server at the time of the request?

Since the first experience, it is desirable to deploy a new server on the same operating system on which it is currently running. What do you have debian, centos, ubuntu, as the software versions may differ in them, which can lead to jambs.
Main tasks:
1.
mysqldump -u root -p database_name > /home/database_backup.sql
tar -czvf /home/website_catalog.backup /var/www/website_catalog #ну или где он у вас там находится.
tar -czvf /home/nginx_configs /etc/nginx
tar -czvf /home/apache_configs /etc/apache (хотя в будущем можете вместо апача php-fpm).
After ordering a new server, run isp manager, the server on debian 9 has fresh software, such as Maria10 and php7.3
After installation, you need to create a domain, edit nginx, php, mysql. This is on the strength of 30 minutes, including setting up SSL.
Bitrix is transferred regularly. Make a copy, download the archive, upload it to a new server, deploy it via restore.php.
Messing around with full VDS backups... such an undertaking.
