Torrent client for home server?
Khabravchane, need help.
There is a server with Lubuntu 12.10, I decided to roll back to 12.04.
One of the most important purposes of the server is a torrent client for mom. Only rtorrent + rutorrent is suitable. The fact is that this is a bundle that is quite undemanding to resources, plus there is a very important thing there - all torrents can be distributed into separate folders. It's inconvenient when everything is in the same folder.
But here's the thing. As soon as I didn’t try to install rtorrent + rutorrent, it doesn’t work. Either I can’t compile xmlrpc-c properly, which is why rtorrent is not compiled with the --with-xmlrpc-c parameter, or some other jamb will come out. And so it is with me all the time, every time I spend several days installing rtorrent + rutorrent.
Please, if someone can give a decent manual, where there will definitely not be a problem when installing rtorrent + rutorrent on a freshly installed OS - share it. It seems to me that I have already tried all the mana for installing what is in Google.
Or, if possible, help to install personally, please. I'll give you ssh access. I only ask you to install and run rtorrent + rutorrent, I will do all the settings myself. I will be extremely grateful!
Well, maybe there is some new server torrent client, with a web face, not demanding on resources and with the ability to sort torrents into folders?
Habr, help me, the only hope is you. :(

Did 1.5 years ago rtorrent as written here, rutorrent stuck on Apache.
Try this instruction, if it works, then you should have 3 .deb files left in the folder, which you save in case of reinstallation (so as not to rebuild again). If you fail, I can give my own, or collect via ssh.
try uTorrent. Installation and configuration manual is available on the offsite
The fact that you need to install wTorrent according to the manual, everything plows, individual users into separate folders.
I can help you install thanks. You need ssh. put rtorrent + rutorrent, but then went to transmission. It will be easier with more functionality.
