Tomcat7 how to set up integration with NetBeans 8?
Good afternoon, dear development gurus
, please tell me how to set up Tomcat 7 integration with NetBeans 8? I installed the tomcat according to the instructions. I'm trying to connect it with netbinz and after adding the server to netbinz I point it to the working folder of the tomcat.
netbinz writes that "The specified Server Location (Catalina Home) folder is not valid", plus it also requires a username and password, which are not clear where to get it.

Specify "/var/lib/tomcat7". If your tomcat really got up there. I would advise not to install tomcat from the repository (this is my personal opinion), because. in this case, tomcat is "scattered" throughout the system (libraries in one place, configs in another, logs in a third). Personally, I downloaded the binaries in an archive, unpacked them into the folder I needed, added the CATALINA_HOME variable to the environment variables, which looks into this folder, added CATALINA_HOME / bin to PATH. And that's all.
Regarding the login and password: well, in black and gray it says "Enter the data of an existing user with the roles of manager or manager-script.
