Tomcat 9.x vs TomEE 7.X?

Hello.
Until today, I used the WEB container Tomcat 9.X.
BUT decided to try TomEE 7.0.3
Launched on localhost in parallel with the already running Tomcat 9. M22.
I had to set the shutdown port from 8005 to 8006 for TomEE
. Otherwise, everything seems to be without problems.
The project in Intellig IDEA worked without any problems and there were no problems with freezing when restarting the Tomcat server .
What do you think are the pros and cons of TomEE compared to Tomcat? for WEB application using JNDI (LDAP, DataSource)

While working in Intellig IDEA, TomEE was not ready to apply most of the changes without reloading Web TomEE. In my opinion, this is extremely inconvenient when developing Web applications. Therefore, my choice remained with Tomcat, BUT I refused alpha in favor of Tomcat 8.5.16.
