To use the "setWebhook()" method in Telegram bot. What certificate is suitable?

There is VDS on firstvds.ru, they also offer SSL. But they are different, the question is what minimum is suitable for using the "setWebhook ()" method in the Telegram bot without any problems?

  1. Comodo PositiveSSL - 616P
  2. RapidSSL
  3. Comodo Essential SSL
  4. Thawte SSL123
  5. Comodo Positive Multi-Domain
  6. Geotrust Quick SSL Premium
  7. Comodo Essential SSL WildCard
  8. RapidSSL Wildcard - 6496 P

Does the cheapest option (Comodo PositiveSSL) work?

Yes, it will. Just a couple of weeks ago I bought Comodo PositiveSSL from one of the partners for 10.95 USD for three years (!) for similar purposes. The bot in Telegram has been successfully raised. The only thing is that when installing a certificate for hosting, you should not forget about the chain of intermediate certificates. Otherwise, you will not see any errors in Telegram, but the bot will not respond. Best of all, after installing an SSL certificate, check the correctness of its installation on specialized services.

Until I purchased GlobalSign DomainSSL (the cheapest one I could find), I used the trick with hosting bot files on heroku. Here is a detailed guide: blizzy.ru/telegram/razmesaem-bota-na-platforme-heroku
