Timeweb - what causes excessive load on the server?

Hello. This is not the first time I have received a letter from timeweb about the excessive load on the server.
There are 3 sites on the hosting, two of them have almost zero traffic, the third, judging by the logs, is not super popular either. 2200 unique visitors in March, clearly the power that the hosting must cope with. yQpV-MQUkgXvGLqreyRhTxC-LgMCI52Iu0NBdwYL
Moreover, the tariff for hosting is not basic, but Century, 10 sites, 6 gigs.
I ask for advice on how to deal with the situation? I heard something about caching, but I don't really understand how it's done. Sites on joomla 2.5.19.
I downloaded all the backups to the computer in case they decide to cover it up.
They themselves advise analyzing the logs, I just looked at them through awstat, I didn’t see any jumps, now I’ll look directly. Scan for viruses, I'll do it. Optimize scripts, why is it suddenly normal working scripts suddenly de-optimized. In general, they do not advise any specifics, only general words.

I take VDS, they give me a login and password and an IP address, as I understand it?
further I connect on ssh where dances with a tambourine begin? Raise Apache, raise php, raise mysql, or is everything easier?

Caching should be automatic on the hosting. If they do not give specifics, go to other hosters. Thankfully there are many. Also try a load test via loaddy.com at night. Will show whether you really run into limits
