Time since visit 1 and total visits: why are the data different?

It's about metrics.

For example, in the report "total number of visits" the following data:
262 - 2-3 days of visit
1388 - 1 day of visit
51 - 4-7 days of visit

"time since first visit":
51 - 2-3 days of visit
46 - 1 day of visit visits
38 - 4-7 day visits

Both check the number of days and target visits (specific target: 3 pages to visit for example). So why is the data different? Confusion in the head.
