Third-level domain on a different server and hosting, with a different ip. Is it possible to customize?

Good day. Please help me with this question.
There are two virtual servers (vps) from different hosts. Both have a VestaCP control panel.
1. On the first server, the first hoster hosts a wordpess site on a virtual server in the format https://mysite.com. Everything is set up, everything works.
2. On the second server from the second hoster, I am going to host a phpBB forum of the format https://forum.mysite.com
Actually the main question, such a feint with the ears can generally be turned in order to place the domain of the third lvl on another server and even from another hoster, respectively, with a different ip. And if possible, how can this be done? As I understand it, you need to register something in the DNS server settings, I'm interested in what exactly? Within the framework of one server, I don’t experience any problems with the subdomain of the third lvl, but what should I do in this case?
Sincerely, thank you for your help.

If you have your own name servers, then I'm not sure.
But if someone (Google, Yandex, GoDaddy) manages DNS for you, then you just need to add an A or CNAME record to him.
My domain is registered with Google and there it is like this:
@ - this is the IP for my domain (second level) - slavikf.com
* - these are all subdomains (third level) - like any-many.slavikf.com
and then, IP for separate hosts, such as artur.slavikf.com, backup.slavikf.com, etc.
By the way, you can also use CNAME, not only A. CNAME is a type of forwarding for IP, but it's better to google for a more correct definition. In some cases, this is more convenient.

The scheme that works for me with 12 servers:
An "A" record for your subdomain would look like one of the following
Notice the dot at the end of the domain in the second case. I have seen both options on different DNS services and panels. Specifically for your Vesta, look online for a manual about working with DNS records, because. I have not come across this board.
