The RPC server is not available when trying to view the image. wtf?

I usually leave the computer on at night, because. it is more pleasant to sleep under the quiet noise of the cooler + LED backlight as a night light. And this morning I look - the computer is frozen. RESET, as described above, does not work. Turned off by holding the power button. After that, Windows swears "RPC server is unavailable" when trying to view the image (using the standard viewer). What is the server and why is it unavailable? Googling didn't turn up anything.
