The quorum disk in 2012R2 is just normal!?
There is a two-node cluster with a quorum disk on storage connected via MPIO/Fiberchannel to both nodes. Communication between nodes - Cisco switch. The cluster was designed with the expectation that in the event of a non-split, accessing the quorum disk will allow the nodes to determine that they are both alive and no one needs to fall. In fact, on 2012R2 we have a drop in one node when the network breaks (a switch configuration error caused a reload). While reading the documentation as part of the investigation of the situation, I found out that in the 2012R2 server, the quorum disk is set as a regular CSV, and only then it is assigned as a quorum disk. Is this normal?
