The problem is in the Wi-Fi adapter and what can be done about it?
Hello, I have such a problem. The PC is connected to the router (TP-LINK Archer C6) via Wi Fi 5Ghz using the Mercusys MU6H USB Adapter
. I check the ping command with the connection between the PC and the network gateway (as I understand it, this is a router), and it turns out that some packets arrive with a long delay, and some do not come at all. I also check on a phone connected to a 5Ghz Wi Fi network, all packets reach without delay. I understand correctly that the problem is in the USB adapter? And what can be done with these? (I did a rollback to the previous version of Windows (from the last build to 1803 and reinstalled the drivers. Carry it back to the store under warranty?

In fact, the answer to your question comes down to checking the health of the WiFi adapter.
1. What does your WiFi adapter look like in Device Manager? You can use the Update Driver option and other Device Manager services. During the update, you will have to connect the computer to the router with a wire.
2. If your WiFi adapter is connected to your computer not directly, but via an extension cable, then be sure to check this cable by replacing it with a known good one, as well as switching it directly. The fact is that USB-WiFi adapters, in my experience, are capricious devices, sensitive to the quality of the cable and its excessive length.
3. You can also check the adapter by switching it to access point mode, for this Win10 has a convenient Mobile Hotspot option. Open this option in the Parameters (Network section), enable it, set the network name and its key (other parameters are possible), then try to detect this network with your mobile phone. If it was found and there is a good strong signal, then the adapter is working.
