The previous Linux is overwritten in Grub after installing the 2nd Linux. Thank you for your help. How to fix?
Good day everyone Thank you for your help
Bottom line:
- Installed Windows
- Then installed Kali Linux using dm-crypt LVM (boot-unencrypted)
- Then installed Ubuntu: Created unencrypted (normal) partitions for Ubuntu: swap, home, root , and boot
As a result: - Ubuntu is successfully installed, in Grub I see only Ubuntu and Windows. Kali is gone.
Question: - How to correctly install 2 Linux distributions?
-----------------------
(I created 2 separate /boot, and wrote to 1 /boot partition. The result is the same. The previous version of Linux is overwritten all the time)
Maybe Do I need to manually edit something?
Thanks again for your help

Have you tried running update-grub on first boot on a freshly installed Linux? Maybe there is a bug in the installer, and he only sees himself from Linux systems. If it helps, file a bug report and have them fix it.
