The monitor turns off in Google Chrome, what should I do?

The situation is this, the monitor spontaneously turns off already 6 times. At the same time, the LED on it blinks, as if the signal has stopped going.

At first I sinned on the video card, I thought that it was overheating. I did a FurMark'om load test - it heated up to 65 degrees in 20 minutes and nothing. I decided to clean it all the same - I took off the cooling, blew out the dust, changed the thermal paste. Collected - again a load test - in 20 minutes 62 degrees and nothing. I think, well, okay - everything is probably OK already.

This morning I opened Chrome, clicked on a photo on one site (so that it would open in full size), the browser thought about it - the screen went blank. At the same time, no other applications except Skype and Miranda were launched. I remembered that last time the screen was also cut off in chrome. A couple of times VKontakte in the list of audio recordings. And twice while watching the video. It's Flash's fault.

Another time I passed out when I clicked the "Restore Tabs" button, after rebooting the computer.

What can you try to do - what would check?

Modern browsers use GPU acceleration. Try to turn it off somehow.

Disable Flash and try to just open the photos, does the problem persist?

Describe the hardware configuration, which video card and monitor. How do other browsers behave? Does the monitor turn on after being turned off? Try to update the drivers for the video card and monitor; try Linux, if possible, try connecting a different video card and monitor. You can find the cause by elimination.

what would it check?

If this is in the window, then I would check the system log for a video driver crash.

I would try switching the monitor to a different port (VGA ←→ DVI) if technically possible.

The driver is most likely crashing.

If it blinks on DVI, but not on VGA, and the ATI video card: play around with the settings: “DVI settings” (below)

It was a long time ago with QIP. As soon as I started writing in it, the screen went blank. Moreover, the computer froze (that is, if you move the mouse when the screen is off, then when it turns on, the mouse is in place).
As it turned out — a bit departed vidyuha.
