The kwin_x11 process eats up all the memory, but if you turn off swap, it stops. How to fix?

If swap is connected, the kwin_x11 process periodically eats all the memory, most likely because of the chromium-based browser (if you close it, it usually gives it back). The trick is that if you disable swap, the effect disappears. Memory keeps at the same level approximately. Reducing /proc/sys/vm/swappiness from 60 to 15 did not help. Someone faced? How to treat?

I dug up the following: at some point, kwin_x11 starts to eat beside himself, eats everything he has, throwing everyone else into a swap, then he realizes that something is wrong here and gives everything at once. Accordingly, all the rest begin to rise from the swap and everything is stupid. HZ, what is it, cured by setting a memory limit (ulimit -d) for kwin_x11.
