The ideal email client?
Hello habr.
For a number of reasons, I prefer an email client to any web interface, but here's one little problem - I can't find a suitable one.
Used to use Thunderbird 2.x, but it was handy until a second mailbox came along.
So, requirements:
Normal hierarchy of mailboxes, as in Sylpheed - n-root folders-boxes, each of which has its own independent incoming, sent, and so on.
Possibility to open the letter in a new window (as in Thunderbird).
The absence of tabs is desirable, since I don’t need them and even annoy.
At least simple filters for sorting incoming messages.
It is desirable to be able to see the headers of the letter (or the letter in RAW).
Cross-platform - would be very handy, but first of all, perhaps under Windows. Advice under Linux is also accepted.
On the openness in general, do not care, if only the software was more or less known (so that without backdoors).
In general, the aforementioned Sylpheed suits me with everything, except for one thing - a disgusting render. He often turns letters into unreadable mess. If I could stuff a render from Thunderbird into it, my ideal would come out, perhaps.
Outwardly, I still seem to like Postbox, but I'm not ready to give $ 30 for it.

The answer lies in the question - Thunderbird It is
enough to sit with the settings
You can switch folders to the mode of all folders - then each mailbox will have its own group of folders
You can use IMAP where possible
thunderbird can do it, it seems. So far, of all those tried, he has the least amount of stupidity (although there are, yes).
thunderbird is great at handling multiple mailboxes, with independent inboxes and outboxes.

If it's not a secret, why?
You can try windows live mail. Although he was damp when I felt him for the last time.
At home on Windows I use The Bat! for several years (license), at work under linux I use Claws Mail - IMHO an excellent alternative to Batu under * nix.
At one time, I kept my mail server at home, which picked up mail from all mailboxes, used the bat, web faces, thunderbird, got used to Outlook 2010 at work, turned all personal boxes on the phone and 90% of the time I look there, plus a web interface.
