The future for the IT specialist, what to do next?
Good day. Not so long ago, or rather today, I graduated from college with a degree in information security. I understood one thing - nothing. For all the time of training (although I studied normally), I did not endure anything for myself. I do not know where to move, what to do, to teach. I like to test applications, but I am a tester without knowledge (to find an error in the text, some kind of bug, etc.), so for now I have a road to nowhere.
Tell me how I can move forward in information security, if for 4 years I have not learned anything useful for myself (not counting various fstek, fz and other piles of documentation). Can information security be combined with testing? I want to cover 2 directions, because. I like it, but because I'm stupid and young, I don't know in which direction to move, where to gain knowledge, practice and other things.
Please reply and point me in the right direction Thank you!

It means that you studied poorly if you did not understand anything. Go to the university, maybe something will come to you there.
Studying only according to the program and not trying to study something beyond it means that skilled labor is contraindicated.
Sorry, dude, how did you get carried away in IB? Application testing has nothing to do with information security. Information security is just what you were stuffed with - documentation, documentation and again documentation. To whom much is given, much will be required. Information security is not IT, it's close but not together :) This is a separate area, it's like a monster - "oblo, huge, mischievous, stozevno and bark."
Information security is always about bureaucracy - far from every office can afford a separate information security specialist - but when the office grows to realize this fact, it already has the appropriate procedures :)
Information security - this may turn out to be work with people to a greater extent, what I would like
IS to be - this is a place where they can give the most unpleasant assignment that has nothing to do with technology
In general, if you came to IB after watching TV shows about hackers, you made a mistake, dude.
