The experience of moving from an enterprise to ...?

Good evening everyone!
Share, did you have any experience of changing the type of activity in the context of development - moving from an enterprise to another area? What did you end up choosing? Did it hurt a lot?
I realized that the corporate spirit is not mine. And already almost not happy with the high, much higher than the market level, salary. Well, I understand that this is not my environment, colleagues for whom this is just "work" and who do not fanate from it, but simply "do it". And it’s okay if the software is custom-made (there is a completely different level of quality), but very often such systems are created in companies (self-written solutions) to support businesses where the development process is not very well organized .. Probably, I want too much. - do not work from start to finish and do not spend 1 hour for lunch + 2 hours for the road. 6 hours of clean work would be more than enough for me. There is so much to read, and it all takes time! And where to get it? when it takes an average of 11 hours to work. (8 + 1 + 2 * 1) ... hmm.
And in general, who came up with the idea of working for 8 hours?) Someone deceived us ...
In general, I have a rough idea in which direction I want to move. But as always, a person is afraid to change something. Especially when you're comfortable. Especially when you have responsibility for loved ones. So I decided to turn to the community for a kind word ..) well, learn at the same time. Your experience may be useful to me.

In Enterprise, everything is done through ... "leave me alone" - how many times have I heard this! And you don't! Try to do it well for fun. Maybe immediately interest in the work will return.
Well, then, money is not the main thing ... for those who have it.

Either professional burnout syndrome, or you're just pissed off with fat, my friend ... The labor market is in ... - Do you seriously want to change a job with a salary above the market for something unknown? Go ahead. But first it would be nice to decide - what still does not suit you? What would you like?
- A team of like-minded fans? Go to a startup, but be prepared to take the risks of a startup - it does not take off, there is no money, thanks to everyone, everyone is free.
- Freedom of creativity? Go freelancing, but be ready to take on the risks of freelancing (much more than in the paragraph above) - you are your own CIO, your own senior and your own promoter. And if there is no money, there will be no one to blame
Maybe just tired of wasting time on the road? Rent a house nearby or find a job closer to home... I know firsthand how "long drive home" can get boring...

The Enterprise is the pinnacle of the mercenary career. After that, they go only in two directions: their own business or some kind of equity startup (best of all, again, your own).
If you switch from an enterprise to something else, then you get a conflict, that the salary is less, the stress is greater, and the dirt is exactly the same.

I switched from enterprise to game dev, the difference between writing a wrapper over a database and the gameplay of a cool game is big.
