The application does not start on widows xp, what else to try to do?

A simple application on Widows xp sp3 framework 4 does not start. The project is built in VS 2015 (C# + WPF).
The release works on Widows 10.
What I have already done:
1. Downloaded all the framework updates. Checked if they are included in the registry.
2. Collected release under framework 3.5. played with different output settings (x32 and x64).
Prior to this, a similar project was launched without problems on c++ winforms on the same computer.
What else to try?
