The aar library does not work correctly under android. How to fix?

There is a self-written library for the interaction of a mobile application for android and smart watches on android wear. The library consists of two corresponding parts (for smartphone and watch). When the library is connected as a module in Android Studio, everything works fine, but when it is already connected as aar libraries, receiving messages from the clock through the bind listener stops working. I don’t see any errors in the logs, the service simply doesn’t work when sending a message from the watch to the smartphone. Help advice where to dig.
