Testing Rest api on a mobile device, application, is it possible and how to set it up?

I am interested in whether it is possible to test an application on a mobile device using the rest api, if so, is it worth it?

With a mobile device, you can test the rest api, but it (testing on a mobile device) is not worth it.
By "mobile device" I mean a smartphone.
