Testdisk not restoring directory?

Deleted the folder using rm -rf *. I use testdisk for recovery. The folder itself sees, highlights it in red, but writes its size 0 bytes. and the folder is empty. Does this mean all is lost? Or am I doing something wrong? There were other folders in this folder with files like .cpp .h.

To calm my conscience, I would advise you to additionally scan the disk either using UFS Explorer or Raise Data Recovery for Ext.
Scanning is fully available and without a license.
Ideally, of course, stop using the disk and connect it to another machine.
