Tablet->mhl->monitor. Is it possible to live with this for surfing the Internet?
Nowadays, mobile devices are very powerful.
Task: connect the tablet / phone to the monitor and surf the Internet through a normal monitor and not load your eyes with an 8-inch tablet.
There are rather several related questions in the question:
1. For those who already use it this way. What are the downsides? Are there any problems with image scaling? It is planned to use a 21 inch monitor. Are there any problems with video playback?
2. What tablets do you use? Judging by www.mhltech.org/devices.aspx, either recently there are not so many who make devices with mhl support, or the list is not updated ...
UPD: or if there is USB type-C, then automatically it means that there is OTG, you can connect to an external monitor?

the first minus immediately catches your eye: touchscreen: how do you imagine working in this mode? to the touch ?
Yes, it's a problem with www.mhltech.org, but starting from the "ancestors" you can trace the new versions of the devices of this line. Then ask clarifying questions: on the manufacturer's website, on w3bsit3-dns.com acc. branch, ... Well, for some reason it is believed that many modern devices have MHL and OTG almost by default.
In general, the topic of connection (especially wired connection ) to large screens is practically not considered. Much more "relevant" is what color the case is and what box the device is packed in - where is it to any garbage like MHL and OTG!
Now for the employment of the connectors. There are adapters with outputs that allow you to connect both an HDMI monitor / TV and an additional USB, but all this costs money.
In addition, tablets still have HDMI connectors. It is better to focus on mini-HDMI - more reliable than micro-HDMI. This, of course, is better than thinking about how to put various devices on one USB output.
With a wired connection, there are no special problems with the picture.
