Tablet loses connection with wifi router
Situation:
There is a TP-LINK TL-W841N router. Through it, wifi is distributed around the apartment for two laptops and a tablet. The router distributes IP addresses to all devices.
Two laptops (win 7) work fine and stably, but with a tablet (android 4.04) - trouble. During the day it worked, and in the evening it stopped: it constantly writes:
* obtaining an IP address
* authentication
* obtaining an IP address
* ...
and so on in a circle.
Checks that I did:
1. I took the tablet to the office. Wifi in the office understands the tablet. Those. wifi itself works on the tablet
2. I turned off encryption on the router (you never know) - the problem remained
3. Turned off all the laptops. Those. left only the tablet - the problem remained
4. Deleted the network in the tablet, added it again - the problem remained
I do not even understand where to dig. The software on the router and tablet was not updated during the day.
Help, good people. What to do?

I have a Netgear WNDR4000 router, at one time I was not friends with the phone (though on WP) HTC HD7 with standard firmware. The phone periodically did not see WiFi (in the evenings). I did two things:
1. Forced WiFi 802.11g.
2. Forced a WiFi channel (11th in my case).
And everything worked! As a result, I changed the phone's firmware to custom, WiFi now works without any dancing with a tambourine. I suppose that it was the difference between the regions (the phone is from Asia, and the router is officially for Russia).
Disable "Wi-Fi Network Filter" in advanced Wi-Fi settings. It helped me with a child's tablet Texet 9751HD (Andryukha 4.2.2), and my Streak 7 works without problems with the same equipment. TP-Link 741ND and 841ND routers.
Add tablet model, will help in solving the problem.
Perhaps the router has set an extreme Wi-Fi channel that the tablet does not support.
Also in the wifi settings there is often a performance / power saving option. Try setting the value to 'performance'.
Found a good post for a possible solution to your problems. Also see the Faq section in the same topic.
They also write that resetting the router to the factory settings and reconfiguring it often helps.
tried to set a static ip for the tablet (on the tablet itself in the advanced parameters of your wifi network)?
Repeatedly observed this on androids 2.xx with some access points
Connecting an Iconbit tablet with Android 4.2 on board to an Asus laptop with Ubuntu 12.04. The laptop connects to the Internet via a 3G modem. The rise of a WiFi hotspot on a laptop was achieved only by using this manual. Before that, I tried WIFI Hostapd AP and madwimax - I most likely blunted it, but nevertheless it did not work.
From the Android side - a normal connection to an available WiFi access point.
Initially, the connection worked intermittently. I read a good article and achieved a confident connection, BUT (of course :)) only with the connection encryption turned off from the access point. All recommendations related to:
- channel number (hostapd.conf > channel)
- mode (hostapd.conf > hw_mode)
- static IP (indicated in the tablet settings)
did not lead to anything. With any method of encrypting a connection, the connection is so dull that it would be better if it did not exist at all.
According to the symptoms described, it looks like a problem with the radio channel.
There is such a thing as antenna polarization (horizontal, vertical, in two planes).
The problem is very easy to identify
Try connecting to WiFi while holding the tablet vertically - after connecting, step back a couple of steps and take the tablet horizontally, and try to walk from side to side - If the connection breaks, it's polarization.
Look for a dual polarization router.
