Tablet, 7" vs 8" vs 10"

I have a very strange request to the Habr community, please post full-size screenshots from your tablets. The reason for this request is that I would like to buy myself a tablet, but I just can’t decide on the diagonal. 10 seems big to me, not comfortable to wear. 7 seems small to read is not convenient. Unfortunately, there is no way to just take and poyuzat from someone.

I would like to see how the habr is displayed on different diagonals (the list and the posts themselves), gmail client, pdf, doc, special formats for readers, video with subtitles.

In the comments, it is enough to indicate the model, diagonal, resolution, and the screen itself. The request is of course impudent, but I think I'm not the only one who will be interested. Of course, I read reviews of tablets, but there are no such things as the most necessary things.

unfortunately there is no way to attach a picture (a tablet at home), but I'll tell you - it's better for me, 7 "- not yet, firstly, even at 1024 x 600 - the picture looks quite good, fits in any small bag, firstly secondly, the weight - you know, even 350g is not noticeably not pleasant to me, and the larger the diagonal, the higher the weight.

10 "- everything is fine. 7 is too small.
Well, then - what prevents you from going to the nearest electronics store, looking at the diagonals? There, the consultants will tell you, show you, and give you a feel. Choosing a tablet according to pictures - you run the risk of buying not what you wanted would.

Full-size screen with Acer Iconia Tab A501 at 1280x800 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 P6800 at the same 1280x800 will they give you something?
You have to go to the store and see for yourself.

Don't think it's advertising, I liked the SAMSUNG 6800 , it's 7.7 inches with a resolution of 1280x800.
It still fits in a big pocket, but it's already a normal display, in my opinion. I have been using it for half a year, my tasks, reading a book, traffic jams / navigation in the car, watching a movie, enough.

You'd be better off going to the store and trying it out for yourself. At the same time, I advise you to pay attention to where the tablet will be used (at home or on the road), because, for example, walking every day with 10.1 "is still annoying.
Using a personal example, I can describe the following:

  • 10.1" Samsung Galaxy Tab 16GB (GT-P7500) - My first tablet, at first, really liked the large battery capacity and screen size. But a month later, I realized that its size is rather a minus than a plus! It is very inconvenient to carry such a the size of a “blank”, besides, these 10.1 inches weigh relatively well. Now, I use it only at home.
  • 4.7" HTC One X - yes, it's a phone, but more powerful than the above-mentioned Samsung and much more convenient to use. Now I use it as the main device, because of its compactness and ease of use. I really liked the quality of the phone. But, nevertheless, with a battery, not so much
  • 7" HTC Flyer 16GB - I bought it a month ago as a gift - While I was setting it up, I really fell in love with this device. Despite the outdated software version, I really liked the tablet. The size is just what you need! A very convenient thing + many different accessories are on sale.

I don’t have a tablet itself, but at work I had to test software on them.
7 is the best in my opinion. Less - there will be a regular cell phone. More - it is inconvenient to carry and use outside the table with a chair.
I walked around the office with a 7 inch, down the street, took it home - cool, you can put it in your pocket (with a certain width thereof). With 10 inches it's harder. If you really work with an average tablet, it will become clear that 7 inches is not so small - everything fits on the screen.
Again, most readers are made with a 7-inch screen - if it is important to read, of course.

For PDF, at least 10", while I have a tablet (16:9) and a reader (16:11), so it’s inconvenient to read on a tablet, it’s too narrow if placed vertically, but it’s very normal on a reader.
But I understood correctly you don’t want screenshots, but photos, you won’t see the difference if the resolution is identical, and if you make a screen from the retina at all, then you think it’s 24 "or what?

A similar situation. After trying different options (7-10.1"), I settled on 8.9". I also liked the iPad (9.7").

7 "is inconvenient. Especially if you write in a horizontal position. The keyboard covers almost the entire screen. It's terribly annoying. If you make it smaller, errors begin.
