Symfony - Doctrine - best practice, how to update OneToMany dependencies?

Hello everyone,

what is the best way to update dependencies?

For example:
table 1 OneToMany -> entries are deleted, now you need to update table 2 ManyToOne

Is there any best practice in Symphony or Doctrine or both? Or how do you do it?
