Symbian: no internet in most apps
The Internet is completely absent in Java applications and some Symbian applications.
Problematic symbian applications (eg Talkonaut, SIC FTP) just silently hang when connected and do nothing. If no connection is open, then it does not try to connect anywhere.
For Java applications, it first asks for permission to access the network (allow once / allow for session), and then silence again.
For normally working applications (Opera Mobile, Yandex Maps), when connecting, a question about the type of connection (3g, wi-fi) and access point is displayed. Such a suspicion that bad applications simply do not know how to request it. After selecting the connection, the application works normally on the Internet.
I looked for a long time where this can be fixed in the settings, but I did not find it. For individual applications, there are no network access settings at all.
Nokia X6, Symbian Series 60.
