Switching to backup VPN and back (Mikrotik CCR1016)?

Good afternoon. There are two providers (main and backup) and a VPN is configured on the link from each provider. You need to configure switching to the backup VPN and back in the event of a failure on the main provider's channel. What would be the best practice in this case? Mikrotik CCR1016.

On the other hand, what?
If it is also Mikrotik, then immediately raise 2 VPN channels and configure dynamic routing (OSPF). If the VPN drops, then OSPF rebuilds and changes the route to the second VPN channel.

Depends on the type of vpn. If the state of the links is unknown, for example ipip, then ospf. If known, routes with different metrics.
With the help of ospf, you can also do channel balancing.
