I used sqlite + FMBD in several applications, I'm happy with everything, but it depends on the tasks, and the taste and color :)

It seems to me that if a developer asks such a question, then he should use Realm. It will be easier to start, and a good solution in general.
ps The rest of the database must be "able to cook" so that it does not bring pain and crash =)
