Sudoku generator. GPU or CPU?

Is there any reason to write a Sudoku generator using the GPGPU technique, or is the CPU better able to handle this task? If so, what would you recommend for this implementation of GPGPU?

Theoretically, all sudoku in the world with an unambiguous solution are numbered and there are just over 5 billion of them. So they can be generated in batches on the CPU by simply decrypting the serial number.
