Worked a bit with vim. In general, not bad and the idea of ​​different modes is also interesting in its own way. But the main problem is the constant need to switch Russian / English layouts to enter commands. And not always all kinds of crutches save. And writing extensions in vimscript is also not inspiring. I would like about the same possibilities for moving around the file (not with arrows) and other goodies.
How it is better to implement it? Look for plugins or reconfigure keys. Which path is better to choose?
I looked towards Emacs, but for the sake of it, learning lisp is also not impressive.
