Storing data for plotting?

in general, there is a script that every period of time collects some data from some sensors.
question: how to save data so that it is convenient to work with them in terms of plotting graphs?
I want to look at data for any period on any scale.
I don't want to store each value as a separate entry in the database

It is not possible for rrd to view charts for any period in any resolution.
Well, it would be very easy to build graphs when each value is in the database, than it does not suit you, easy, simple, reliable.

Graphite is better instead of rrd.
