Statistics on open connections for a specific location in nginx?

I use the nginx-rtmp-module module to organize live broadcasts. There are no questions about rtmp connections, the module displays all the information. Data for the hls-stream, the module adds to the disk and nginx itself transfers them. I want to control the number of connections to the server within which requests are made to certain files in order to compile summary statistics for viewing specific streams. Please tell me how to do it better?
