Stable ping when connecting devices to wifi?

The question is, when someone connects via wifi and starts surfing the Internet, then the ping in games immediately flies up to 500+, are there any ways to solve this problem? mb my router settings are wrong? router D-Link DSL-2640U, itself connected via cable.
