SSD caching vs system installed on SSD?
I bought a Sandy Bridge processor and a board whose chipset ( Z68 ) supports SSD caching technology . In addition, I have an 80 GB SSD and a 2 TB hard drive.
Which is better: use SSD caching technology or just put the system (I plan to install linux) on an SSD, and mount 2 TB for media files (video, music, etc.)?
Two aspects are of interest: performance and security. On the one hand, I want maximum speed, on the other hand, I don’t want everything to bend down at one fine moment.

in linux smart response will not work for obvious reasons, so the question disappears for you, apparently by itself =)
