Split Nginx into multiple servers?

I ran into a problem and can not solve it correctly.
And here's the thing, there is a server with a web page and there is a server with mail. There is a domain and a white ip,
name.ru - 1 server
name.ru / mail - 2 server
If it is of course on the same server, but if you share it, then nothing will work.
Therefore, the idea was born, to put another server with nginx and let it share who goes where, and communication between servers over the network.
But I'm starting to doubt this idea, since I haven't found an implementation, but the idea is interesting.
