Of course, I'm sorry if I offend you, for some it's not just a choice but a religion :) but I would advise iPad2, now it has quite attractive prices. Of course, if you need it not for development, and if USB is a critical parameter.
In my opinion, nothing but the iPad and Galaxy Tab deserves attention at all. On Android, the second one.
I'm not sure about the usb-host, but the new galaxy tab is out of competition.
+ it will be sold in large quantities => more community, more firmware.
+ technically it's just excellent, big battery, thin, etc.

or do you learn about gadgets only from advertising?
I have an Acer A500. USB only reads fat32 flash drives. Inserted 32GB microSD, and the most 32GB of memory. "Flies" compared to HTC Legend. HDMI output, watched a movie, spent 20% of the charge. With active use, enough for a day (Internet, book, games). And all the pleasures for 16700 rubles. Never regretted.
