Consider 4 cases. 2 options: x < 0, x > 0, In each case, 2 more options will come out when comparing x with -4 or 4. Each case uniquely places signs when expanding the module. At the end, 4 equations with conditions will be obtained. For example, 4-x=m, 0<=x<=4. In this example, the solution will be x=4-m if 0<=m<=4. Then you intersect the segments of the validity of four solutions and get some solutions for each segment.
