SocialEngine or Bitrix Social network?

One company wants to deploy a social network for its employees (5k people), for starters, a basic set of functions that are in both SE and Bitrix, the project is a pilot one, if it takes off, then further development and integration with the rest of the company's services will be required.
If someone has worked with both products, which product is more convenient to maintain, which one has more customization options? Advise what to choose.

It is more convenient to accompany the product in which you fumble and the developer will fumble. Everything else is just holivar.
PS: why install a social network from Bitrix if there is a corporate portal?
