Smart home lighting?
Good afternoon,
I’m working on my implementation of a smart home, but there was a problem with lighting:
as planned, a lighting scheme control system should be implemented (for example, to watch a movie or just turn on full lighting). I want to implement a smooth extinguishing of the light like in a cinema, a smooth inclusion would also not be superfluous. But I can't find a proper solution.
A little about the internal structure of a smart home: the control application itself is written in C # and runs on a server that is connected to a local network (the server is a regular office PC for a thousand rubles). The management console is on a tablet running Windows 8. The tablet connects via Wi-Fi to the management application and they communicate via sockets (implementation via SignalR Self-Host).
Such a structure of the system implies one important requirement for a light dimmer - it must be controlled via a computer (RS-232 or via LAN). This is the main problem. I climbed all the Chinese stores, but everywhere there are only manual dimmers. At the moment, it does not matter what voltage the dimmer will be designed for (5-24 DC or 220 AC).
What I considered:
1. Wi-Fi-enabled LED dimmers - an interesting option, of course, but you need to somehow investigate the communication protocol between the remote control and the dimmer itself and it is not known whether it can smoothly turn off the light, because judging by the buttons on the remote control, at one press of the button it extinguishes the light by one (say) gradation. And to do this smoothly, you need to send a hundred commands via Wi-Fi?
2. DMX512 - not yet fully understood whether this thing can be controlled via a PC and whether it works with conventional LED lamps / strips (does not support the DMX protocol)
3. Custom dimmer implementation via MOSFET. The most unpleasant option, it is also not clear how to send control levels to him ...
I have already considered z-wave devices, but something was also unsuccessful.
Does anyone have any experience with doing something like this?

Good afternoon!
There are dimmers from Uniel, they work on rs-485 ModBus protocol.
My smart home is built on the basis of Nootechnika equipment (nooLite system). Everything is managed through a service running on a nettop running Windows 8.1. The service is written in C#. Thinking-home.ru/system.
Now the service has undergone some changes, so there is practically no normal web interface for lighting control. The new interface is currently under development.
Smooth turning off and on of the light is supported.

I installed stretch ceilings and made uniform lighting throughout the apartment, it turned out very well, now everything is well lit, I ordered it on this site. I was very interested in the lighting for a smart home, I need to somehow implement it myself ...
