Smart device management via open API?

There are a lot of smart devices on the market - kettles, condos, TV, etc. If you take them from different manufacturers, then as far as I understand, they will all have to be managed through different applications. I want to manage them through my application, one application for all devices. I can’t find any information about the open API of certain devices, in general, what should I do if I want to control this whole zoo myself?
