smallest linux

Recently, many acquaintances have been catching SMS-lockers. In order to somehow cure their "pet", they bring system units to my work, or invite me to visit. I would like to make life easier for myself and others.
The idea is this: I would like to have a small Linux distribution so that users without special skills can easily install it on their flash drive and boot from it. Next, you need the ability to access this computer remotely via SSH. Well, then after connecting, we study the victim's Windows registry for the presence of foreign bodies using the chntpw utility. Can you also recommend some free antivirus program with which you could cut Windows viruses from under Linux?
Has anyone done something similar before and can give some advice? Maybe there are some ready-made solutions? It is necessary that the distribution kit be very easy without any superfluous bells and whistles. Googling a bit, I found Linux 50 megabytes in size . But there is also a lot of excess. In which direction to dig? LFS? And roughly what is the minimum size of the distribution can be?

Check out Slitaz , only 30Mb. There is also Tiny core linux about 10 MB. Linux-based antiviruses include ESET Nod 32 and Dr.Web.

How much can you suffer?
Let them put at least Avast 6 Free - that's no problem.

I use PartedMagic - 181MB, not small, but a complete set of various utilities. I also want to try Kaspersky Rescue CD, but it didn't start on the last machine.

You can build rootfs via buildroot using uclibc, well, the kernel, buildroot can do it all. You can take openwrt, but it's more for routers somehow, but there are a lot of packages. You can try archlinux or gentoo, but it will be difficult to pack it in less than 100mb.

You can try SystemRescueCd, although it is slightly larger than the proposed ones (350 meg), it already solves some of your tasks, for example: you can get a boot with the root password set without modifying the image itself and immediately enable ssh and vnc . Also, many utilities are already in it, including chntpw .
In addition, it is easily modified, you can remove anything from it or add it with ease .

An excellent utility for analyzing local and offline PCs. Knows all the hot spots where the launch comes from.
And as an analogue of everything that is written here, you can try pebuilder, somewhere I met an image at 256 meters with software + firewood for network devices and controllers. It is possible to shove the client of the teamware there. It will turn out something more friendly for ordinary users.
Well, it seems like a plus of such a system that everything will run natively from Windows, and most antiviruses are tailored for it +)

Slax. Small, assembled without problems on the site from the necessary components, you immediately write the image to a flash drive - that's it.
